Tubular Trap Effective in Protecting Honey Bee Hives From Yellow-Legged Hornets

Two wooden honey bee hive boxes with metal lids are placed side by side on grass, with wire mesh tubing placed horizontally across the front bottom of the boxes. This tubing leads to two vertical mesh tubes on the ends, which have brown mesh extensions at the top.
