Farmers in many developing countries are facing more frequent and intense pest outbreaks than ever before. True integrated pest management (IPM) remains underused, as farmers often lack tools, resources, or confidence to put it into practice. A study of 25 years of IPM adoption in Nepal shows that better training, climate-smart tools, and stronger institutional support are needed for IPM to become a powerful and sustainable force in agriculture.
