Subterranean termites foraging in soil treated with liquid termiticide are killed quickly—perhaps too quickly. A new study shows that the accumulation of dead termites soon leads remaining termites to avoid the area. This "secondary repellency" leaves the rest of the colony unaffected, meaning damage may potentially be postponed or redirected elsewhere. [Read more]
