Houston, Texas-based Ardent Pest Control has been purchased by Massey Services, based in Orlando, Fla. Terms were not disclosed.
Massey first entered Texas in 2012, and now has 17 locations throughout the state, including Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Austin.
“We are pleased to welcome the Ardent team members and customers to the Massey Services organization,” Chairman and CEO Harvey Massey said in a news release. “Ardent is a perfect fit for our organization, as they share our same commitment to total customer satisfaction. We look forward to continuing to serve our new Ardent customers and expanding our presence in the Houston market.”
Massey, a 57-year industry veteran, founded Massey Services in 1985. Born and raised in Melville, La., he is a member of the Pest Management Professional Hall of Fame (Class of 2008).
The Ardent Pest Control purchase marks the company’s fourth acquisition of 2020:
- In June, it purchased Island Pest Control, one of the largest, locally owned pest control companies on Hilton Head Island, S.C.
- In March, the company purchased Insight Pest Solutions of South Florida.
- In February, Massey Services announced the acquisition of Ambush Termite & Pest Control, based in Elgin, S.C., which provides pest control and termite services to the Columbia, S.C. area.
- Also in February, Massey Services acquired Resolve Pest Control, based in Baton Rouge, La.
Massey Services has more than 680,000 customers throughout Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, South Carolina, North Carolina and Oklahoma. Massey Services and its subsidiary organizations employ nearly 2,200 team members and operate 2,000 vehicles that provide residential and commercial pest prevention, termite protection, landscape and irrigation services.
