Monark SB, the first difenacoum rodent soft bait in America, is now available from Bug Off Pest Control Center, New York, N.Y. Announcements of additional distributors are expected to follow soon from the manufacturer, PelGar. This palatable, lard-based formula is ideal for use in and around homes where non-targets are a concern, because difenacoum is a second-generation anticoagulant rodenticide with a low LD50 rate. Just like its big brother Brigand, this lard-based soft bait comes in “T-bag” sachets, so it’s just as easy to secure in bait stations, is flexible at low temperatures, and is highly attractive to rodents, the company says.
